Probably as far back as 2006. In 2005 when I opened my blogs I noticed my traffic ratio was around 500 per day in web searches and 2000 in image searches. Problem was, image searches often just looked at the image and never went to my blogs. After installing the script I got 2,500 hits from Google and saw my conversions go through the roof!
